Huge productivity boost and much lower operating costs.
By CChristianson
This printer was a game changer as our production time for large mixed sized documents dropped by 80%. Our old system would balk at printing letter and legal and we had to print them separately and then manually assemble the document package. This system totally automated that process. The larger dual paper trays, faster network and print speeds dropped a 2 hour project to 10 minutes. Wow! After saving all that time we suddenly realized our printing cost per page dropped by 50% too!. Highly recommended as is its sister printer the HL5470DWT.

I like it, but I am not totally happy
By SF Bay Area Consumer
We purchased this printer about a year ago and so far printed about 60'000 pages. In the beginning we struggled to get enough ink out of the Brother cartridges and we abandoned them. We went through several after market suppliers with mixed results. We finally settled with LD products.

The good:
---------
- really fast
- easy to setup and operate
- inexpensive compared with HP
- works great with wireless network
- really like it, except my major issue with the cartridges.

The not so good:
----------------
- Cartridges (OEM) in particular, are only printing half of what they promise. I researched this on the internet and tried all the tricks (shaking, tapes, refilling etc.). Nothing worked, trust me. I opened a few "used up" cartridges and they were half full (yes!). It's a complete scam, not to mention the electronic waste. If you have additional information on this, feel free to comment. I am looking for answers.
- Brother makes refilling a challenge. I was partially successful with refilling the TN780, but you must insert a brand new cartridge first. It resets something.
- Paper Jams: every so often in the middle of a big job I get jams. This is not a major issue, but a nuisance when it happens, which is usually once a day.

Would I buy it again? Well, now that I found a good cartridge supplier I am actually much happier. But don't get me wrong, it was frustrating in the beginning with the Brother cartridges and some of the early after market suppliers.

Great Value
By OmegaTac
Excellent quality prints at a great price. When combined with inexpensive after-market toners and refills, this is a bargain to own and use. Especially as a wireless printer.
